arts, humanities and social sciences research day - 30/04/09

An event was held to discuss the potential for regional collaboration in the research fields of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences in the region's universities. The event was hosted by Prof Peter Golding and Prof Judith Mottram in the Innovation Centre at Loughborough University on the 30th April 2009.

Speakers at the event included Yvonne Hawkins, Associate Director Midlands and South England, HEFCE and Professor John Coyne, Chairman of the EMUA Steering Group and VC at the University of Derby.

Presentations from each of the ten universities in the region outlined relevant expertise and highlighted opportunities where collaboration might be beneficial.
